Summer studies description

  • a study on psalm 119

A STUDY ON PSALM 119 God blesses the Christian in this life as he lives out his salvation.  Psalm 119 reveals God's way of receiving the happy and successful life that He desires for each believer.  Our study of Psalm 119 will be inductive and interactive.  The blessed life will be our quest. Leader: Mike Williams. No cost.

  • journey evangelism training

In this study, participants are not only asked to study and identify some of the motivations and fears in sharing the Gospel with others, but also encouraged to challenge those fears through practical evangelism exercises and field interviews.  Leader: David Steinbarger. No cost.

  • age of opportunity: a biblical guide to parenting teens

In this book, Paul Tripp uncovers the heart issues that affect parents and their teenage children during the often-chaotic adolescent years. With wit, wisdom, humility, and compassion, he shows parents how to seize the countless opportunities to deepen communication and learn and grow with their teens. Leaders: Jim & Shirley Steinbarger. Suggested Donation: $10

  • christian apologetics

Many Christians don’t fully realize the strength of their own position. They feel incapable of giving reasons and defense for the hope that is theirs. This introductory study will equip believers to address their own doubts, to converse with seekers and critics from a position of strength, and to bear witness to Christ with confidence. Leader: Geoff Johns. Book cost: $10

  • christianity explored

This introduction to Christianity gives people time and space to think about the big questions of life and to explore the life of Jesus, the man at the heart of the Christian faith. As they explore Mark’s Gospel, people find out who Jesus is, why he came and what it means to follow him. Leaders: Eric & Mary DeKorne. Book Cost: $4

  • HOT TOPICS

In this class we will discuss what does the Bible says about various topics including baptism, women in ministry, end times, homosexuality, free will, and evolution. Leader: Pastor Jonathan Whitley. No cost.

  • communicants class

This class is for children preparing to take Communion. Leaders: Tim & Natalie Gremore. No cost.

  • the art of marriage

Every Marriage is unique, expressed by the colorful personalities of each spouse and textured by the circumstances at play in their lives. Blending these to make marriage work is a divinely inspired art form — challenging to master but definitely worth the effort. In this study couples can explore God's Purpose and Plan, Overcoming Isolation, Fulfilling Our Responsibilities, Communication and Conflict, Experiencing Real Intimacy, and Leaving a Lasting Legacy. Leaders: Pat & Joy Simpson. Book cost: $25/couple

  • the good news of t.u.l.i.p.

At the core of Reformed Theology is the Sovereignty of God over all things, including the salvation of individuals. Growing up in contemporary American culture we may like to say God is Sovereign, but when it clashes with our ideals (or idols) of freedom, choice and individuality, Reformed thinking sounds offensive. Our study is to show how the Doctrines of Grace, or T.U.L.I.P., are biblical, theologically sound, and truly good news for God's people! Leader: Ron Jung. Optional book cost: $12

  • pilgrim's progress for kids

Through this adventure story, children ages 6–12 will discover many important biblical truths, including: a deeper understanding of Christ and the gospel, the necessity of God’s Word, the Holy Spirit, and other believers for teaching, instruction, encouragement, and support, the true definition of a Christian and a picture of the Christian life. Leader: Nathanael Schmidt. No cost.
