Wes grew up in Green Bay and met his spouse, Kimberly Johnson (also a counselor at Jacob's Well) at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL where he earned a Master's Degree in Counseling in 1995. From there, they moved to South Florida for about ten years and Wes worked as a youth pastor and later as a counselor focused on juvenile justice and child welfare. Wes and Kimberly moved back to Green Bay in 2003 and Wes works full time as a counselor at a local college while he sees clients Jacobs Well on a part time basis. Wes and Kimberly have four adult children and he cherishes the times when they are all at home. Wes enjoys making complicated meals and most nights he can be found in the kitchen for a few hours preparing and doing dishes. In addition to cooking, Wes absolutely loves to travel, especially the long road trip across the country with multiple overnight stops along the way. For over 30 years, Wes has been working as a counselor and he enjoys building relationships with clients and helping them see where God is working in their life, even in situations that feel hopeless.
