David reeb

Deacon

Since the word deacon means "servant" or "waiter", I serve others needs, primarily in tangible ways like caring for them, feeding them, providing transportation, or paying housing related expenses.  In doing so I also speak of Jesus' love and the gospel, so most importantly they can know salvation.  I'm involved in various facility needs, decisions on scholarships for counseling, and visitation.

Within the church we have an active Mercy Team and many volunteers in Care Ministries that support all this.

About David

God has blessed me with my beautiful wife, Sara, and 4 wonderful children – Avery, Jackson, Emma, and Celia. Sara and I met in pharmacy school at Drake University. After college and residency, we made our way to Green Bay, which is where I was born and raised. Currently I am the pharmacy manager at Aurora BayCare Medical Center. We have been attending Jacob’s Well since 2022 and love serving in the church and bringing others closer to God. Our family loves to spend time outdoors embracing God’s great creation.

Fun Facts:

What do you do in your free time?

  • I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, whether it be in the garden, going on family walks, cross country skiing, hunting, or fishing – anything to get us outside. Whenever I have time to myself, I enjoy going for a long run with no phone or music.

What is your favorite Bible Verse?

  • Amazingly is one of the verses given to me as a charge during my deacon ordination and can be found posted on my office wall at work – Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

If you could meet anyone in history who would it be?

  • As an avid outdoorsman, I would love to meet Teddy Roosevelt and discuss all his conservation work along with all the other intriguing aspects of his life.
