  • REFORMED DOCTRINES OF THE CHURCH

Throughout the church’s history a great deal of work has gone into precisely describing the fundamental beliefs of Christianity. The church has worked to express what it believes in a clear and understandable way that is also consistent with the truth as expressed in God’s word. The results of this work are the great creeds and confessions of the church. One such gift to the modern church is the Westminster Confession of Faith (WCF). During the “Reformed Doctrines of the Church” class we will, using the WCF as our guide, delve into several essential doctrines of the church. We’ll also discuss the history of the WCF and why it is so important for the church to have a confessional document such as the WCF. Leaders: John Rogers and Steven Burton. Book Cost: $5 (not required)

  • WOMEN'S HOSEA STUDY

No Empty Word: Relentless Pursuit  Filled with shocking language and uncomfortable spiritual realities, the Book of Hosea is unlike any other book in the Bible and yet is a summary of the whole of Scripture. It is the graphic story of our holy God’s deep love, relentless pursuit, and transformation of His faithless and sinful people. With plot twists expected in a romantic movie, God called the prophet Hosea to marry and love the unfaithful prostitute, Gomer, to live out the reality of God’s relationship with Israel.

This summer join women throughout the PCA for a behind-the-scenes study of the prophet’s dramatic story and our place within it. Experience in Hosea the relentless—persistent, incessant, unwavering, and persevering—pursuit of the Lord. Leader: Anna Horvat. Book Cost: $15

We will learn how to approach the Word in order to go deeper in the study of the Scripture and to engage God's Word in a way that trains our minds and transforms our hearts. Fruit of the Spirit What is it? Where does it come from? How do we cultivate it? These are some questions we will be considering each week as we seek to better understand the principles of Galatians 5:22-23. Spoiler alert- we cannot look to this passage of Scripture and say we can be these things in and of ourselves. We just can't. The source of the fruit is the Holy Spirit Himself. **Lesson plans written and published through RYM (Reformed Youth Ministries). Leader: Kelly Kocken. No cost.

  • middle school girls study

Beautiful Encounters-The Presence of Jesus Changes Everything Jesus seems pretty “out there” most of the time. We can read about him in the Bible but it seems different than actually meeting him. In our time together, we’ll read about women in the New Testament who go to meet Jesus in real life. These gals were just like us. So…studying how they reacted and what they learned when they came face to face with Jesus can help us get to “meet” him too. Leader: Wendy Jung. Book Cost: $16

  • MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL GUYS STUDY

We are going to dive into the subject of the 5 Solas of the Reformation. Paramount to the Protestant faith, the 5 solas help described how we are justified and saved by God! This Latin phrase is how we can summarize the 5 solas, “we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone according to Scripture alone for the Glory of God alone” and will break down each major section of that sentence and how all these “alones” are unified together!  Leader: Jack Rymer. No cost.

  • CHILDREN'S STUDY

Kids Travel Guide to the Fruit of the Spirit Kids will dive into understanding the Fruits of the Spirit based on Galatians 5:22-23.  Through this study the kids will better understand how the Holy Spirit can equip them to love others with their actions and attitudes. Leader: TBD. No cost.
